Starting an English Language course 

It is recommended students undertake an offshore placement test or an IELTS before starting a Chisholm ELICOS course.

Students can also apply in Melbourne and be assessed on arrival.

How do I progress to a higher level course?

Each level has a standardised curriculum and assessment tasks. Students must successfully complete all assessment tasks in order to progress to the next level as well as completing all relevant classroom activities.

How long are the English courses?

The course of study varies from student to student depending on students' needs and pathway. Some students can undertake a course for five weeks while others can take up to 50 weeks of English language classes. Each course from the Elementary to Advanced levels are 10 weeks long with mid course entry after 5 weeks.
