Chisholm's people work offshore from Australia to deliver world class skills training in a number of countries.

We are recognised as a preferred provider in the highly competitive international market in China, and on the back of that success, projects are underway in India and Vietnam.

In China

China Electricity Council Project (CEC Project)

In 2003, Chisholm and the China Electricity Council (CEC) embarked on a joint venture to enable Chinese students to obtain a Chisholm certified Diploma.

Chisholm is now working with 10 CEC colleges all over China, in Chengdu, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Baoding, Nanchang, Xi'an, Taiyuan, Shandong, Guizhou and Shanghai.

Highlights include:

• Delivery of a 3 year program: year 1 English, Year 2 and 3 Diploma of Accounting and Diploma of Electric Power Systems to approximately 2000 students in 2008
• Course design in conjunction with industry in China to increase job outcomes for students
• Ongoing English development for students and teachers
• Enhanced employment opportunities for graduates
• Further study opportunities in Australia with pathways into 6 universities

The CEC project involves Chisholm staff travelling to China regularly to undertake delivery and project management tasks. Also, Chinese staff visit Chisholm to upgrade skills and knowledge.

Chisholm awards merit based Scholarships each year to CEC students.

• An extra-curricular recreation program which provides more opportunities to mix with Australian students and staff
• Highly qualified and caring support staff and student advisory staff – including career and education counsellors and psychologists
• A student cafeteria, student training restaurant and student beauty training centre

Dalian Railway Medical school

The partnership with Chisholm and the Dalian Railway Medical School has been underway since 2006.

Highlights include:

• Chisholm initially provided an English language (ELICOS) training package, learning resources and a teaching delivery approach to a group of teachers who then returned to introduce ELICOS to their students
• Pathways were mapped to articulate to diploma, advanced diploma and even degree
• Now delivery of Certificate III in Health to students in senior secondary school with pathway to Certificate IV in Nursing at Chisholm

In Vietnam

Hanoi Electric Power University

Delivery of a three semester Diploma of Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) to students studying at the Electric power university in Hanoi.

In India

IISD Linkage in Kolkata

Delivery of Diploma of Accounting to graduates leading to Advanced Diploma at Chisholm and pathway to Deakin University in Australia.
